Looking Forward This Half Term – November-December

Dear Parent/Carer,

As we begin a new half term, there are many exciting opportunities ahead for our learners to learn, participate and thrive.

This term at Ysgol Bryn Elian, all of our extra-curricular clubs are continuing with the addition of:

  • Applications to become a sports ambassador to support with clubs.
  • The new Pickleball club after school on a Monday.

The winter months can sometimes be challenging. Schools often see attendance affected by seasonal illness, tiredness, winter weather and routines beginning to slip.

This is also an important point in the academic year where attendance habits continue to have a significant impact on learning, relationships and wellbeing.

    How Families Can Help:
    • Maintain consistent attendance routines
    • Encourage participation in school activities
    • Support positive attitudes towards learning
    • Discuss any concerns with school

    How School Will Help:
    • Create engaging learning opportunities
    • Promote belonging and wellbeing
    • Provide support where barriers arise

Together we can help all of our learners make the most of the opportunities available this half term.

    Kind regards,

    Mr J Chaplin

Assistant Headteacher
