Ysgol Bryn Elian honoured to have 2 case studies of excellent practice published by Estyn.
Earlier in the year ESTYN, the school inspectorate in Wales came to Ysgol Bryn Elian as part of a thematic inspection visit, looking at how we develop English reading skills in learners aged 10-14 years of age.
We were absolutely delighted to be asked to write 2 case studies on the work we do in this area.
These were:
Case study 1: Planning for the consistent development of disciplinary literacy, including reading
Case study 2: Transition projects to share teaching strategies between the primary and secondary phases, including teaching reading
