Last year saw the launch of Mr. Wilkins' #MyBE project.
One of the biggest dreams of this pupil engagement scheme was the ambition to plant half a million daffodil bulbs on the YBE site and create a breathtaking display for spring.
After months of fundraising with the student body, generous grants from the town council and hours of hard work, the first of 15,000 bulbs have started to go in the ground. Students and staff will continue to plant bulbs, almost every night afterschool until about 4pm.
The hard work of dedicated students and staff saw the project pass halfway... 7500 daffs in the ground as of 4pm yesterday!
